This event now starts at 10 to 10.30 a.m. with a visit to Teapot Island near Yalding (www.teapotisland.com) for a coffee and perhaps a bacon sandwich and a visit to the exhibition of 3500 teapots. Or you can take a stroll along the river before driving onto the Poacher at Tudeley for lunch at 12.30 (www.thepoachertudeley.co.uk). Afterwards we have a short drive to Tudeley Church for a talk about the famous Marc Chagall windows at 2.30 (www.tudeley.org). You should allow up to 20 minutes for the drive from Teapot Island to the Poacher and 5 minutes from the Poacher to Tudeley Church. Tony has already arranged our visit to Teapot Island (pay for what you have) and the talk and tour of Tudeley Church (GBP3 each on the day). Tony needs to reserve tables at the Poacher in advance. In order to ensure that a place is booked for you please send Tony a deposit of GBP10 each payable to MSCC by no later than 22nd August 2008.
New Page 1Sunday 7th September Special 70thBirthday Party It is with with great pleasure that we announce the 70th birthday party of two very special old ladies - Nancy�s Series 1 drophead coupe, FGO, which has been in her family since 1973 and Keith Robinson's Series 1 four seater, which has been in his family since new.The party will take place at Chartwell, the home of Winston Churchill at Westerham TN16 1PS and, in order to obtain the special parking that has been reserved for us, we will need to be there by 10.30 at the latest, bringing with you (if you are a National Trust member) your National Trust car sticker. Entry will be free if you are a National Trust member.The intention is to have a picnic, and all of your Morgans are invited and, should they wish, they can bring along their owners and friends to share in the day. Bring along your Morgan plus friends, with their classic vehicles and meet up with like minded enthusiasts at Elvey Farm, set in the tranquil Kentish countryside, sample lunch or afternoon tea with fellow car enthusiasts.Hopefully our host Jeff Moody of Meridian News will be on hand to choose, in his opinion, the nicestcar of the day.
